Wagon drawhook, designed to take instanter coupling or 3 chainlink set.

First used on RCH wagons and widely adopted by LMS, LNER, B.R. and private owners as standard.

Rectangle at back is drilled for links to centre spring cradle under wagon. Square shank is designed to slide through hole in buffer beam. Alternatively, hook will accept spring at rear if square is cut off.
